Wrapping up Term 1

A couple weeks ago, we finished term 1 of our school year. We continue to love A Gentle Feast. Here are some pictures of our term celebration.

And pictured above are some samples of our girls’ notebooks. I love this practice, it leaves us with a beautiful memory of the reading we have done through the year. It’s always encouraging to compare the beginning of the year to the end of the year and take note of their progress.
Also pictured above are my favourite read alouds so far this year. Treasures of the Snow is a new family favourite. Understood Betsy is our second time through, but for sure one of my favourites.

Below is a picture of Peter reading Henry and Mudge to Silas. Peter has taken off in his reading ability this term and is thoroughly impressed with himself. His excitement over reading and shock at his own ability is a memory that I treasure ❤️
