- Winnie the Pooh by AA Milne (this is a favorite for all ages in our house. It is truly funny.)
- The Tales of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter (we have a beautiful hardcover book that includes most of Beatrix Potter's original stories. It was given to us by a friend who found it at a thrift story. It is one of the most beautiful books we own.)
- Hans Christian Anderson's Fairy Tales
Here are some of our favorite books to read aloud together as a family. These read aloud usually take place during our morning time, or after lunch (over a cup a tea), or before bedtime.
- A Tree for Peter by Kate Seredy - we just finished this one. Such a beautiful story about the transformation of a town and of the lives of the community. Love!!
- Little House on the Prairie (the whole series) by Laura Ingalls Wilder
- The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis
- Anne of Green Gables (the whole series) by LM Montgomery
- Understood Betsy by Dorothy Fisher
- Charlotte's Web by EB White
