Happy 5th Birthday Silas

On Friday, our baby turned 5. This felt like a milestone in parenting. No more babies and toddlers in the house, and in September they will all officially be school aged.

Silas has recently become a crazed hockey fan, so we celebrated his birthday with a 3-on-3 hockey tournament. Last year Silas’ party was the day before things started to shut down due to the pandemic. This year, there was an announcement that outdoor gatherings were permitted again (the day before his party).

Silas is an encourager with a soft heart. When he sees someone who is sad, he does his best to cheer them up. The other morning Peter was crying and Silas said “Peter when you are big I think you will be a referee since you’re so strong.” I pray that God will use Silas’ gifts to advance the kingdom. Happy birthday sweet Si.
