The Hungry Year
We had our April book club at Alouette lake. We read “The Hungry Year” over the past month and had wonderful discussions and activities surrounding the book. The kids built their own forts, washed their own laundry, and found food in the forest. “The Hungry Year” is a historical fiction novel about a Loyalist family that moves to Ontario during the American Revolution. Our family enjoyed learning more about the American Revolution through this story.
